Lead Game Designer

Location: Valencia (Teleworking)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Game Designer, with at least one shipped title.

  • Proven experience in RPG and/or turn-based game design (preferably mobile or multiplatform).

  • Strong game design fundamentals: systems design, economy design, balance, UX, and pacing.

  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to translate ideas into dev-ready specs.

  • Clear communication, critical thinking, and leadership abilities.

  • Autonomous, structured, and proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written), as our daily communication is in Spanish.

  • Passion for games, especially RPGs and collectible mechanics.​

  • Experience with free-to-play mobile game design and monetization strategies.

  • Experience with collection-based combat systems.

  • Experience designing live-ops features, in-game events, and seasonal content.

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and KPI-based decision making.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Agile workflows (Scrum/Kanban).

  • Fluency in English (for documentation and potential cross-border collaborations).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Game Design department, working closely with the Game Director to shape and execute the game’s vision — from high-level concepts to detailed mechanics, systems, and content.

  • Create and maintain clear, structured, and up-to-date design documentation covering features, progression systems, combat, economy, and user experience.

  • Design, balance, and oversee both core and meta gameplay systems (collection, progression, monetization, live events, etc.) with a player-first mindset.

  • Collaborate closely with the art, development, and production teams to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation aligned with the game’s creative vision.

  • Provide constructive feedback to fellow designers and help foster a creative, open, and collaborative team environment.

  • Monitor game performance using KPIs, analytics, and player feedback to make informed, data-driven decisions.

  • Meet deadlines and deliverables set by the production team, ensuring consistent communication on design progress.
